What type of wheelchair ramp should I get?

How do I determine what size of ramp I need?
It all depends on the height or rise of your steps. If you measure from the floor to the top of the steps it will give you the rise. Residential ramp guidelines recommend a ramp rise to run ratio of 1:12, meaning that for every inch of rise your ramp should extend 12 inches in length.
